All set

The scarf, hat and mitten sets are done.

scarf, hat and mittens

All in purples

One set done in various shades of purple and violet.

All in pinks

The other set is made of shades of pink.  They are all boxed up and ready for the Mom to pick up, wrap up and tuck under the tree.  I think two little girls will have a happy and warm Christmas.

Here and gone!

Here are few things I’ve been working on.

hat

Ear-flap hat

I finished this hat as part of a custom order.  It is 100% alpaca yarn, natural color from our animals.

scarf

Scarf

This scarf is knit in a 1×1 rib, so it is really poofy and squishy.  It is 100% alpaca that I dyed myself and it will keep you warm.  I like the way the colors created their own pattern.

mttens

4 pair of mittens

These mittens were just dry in time to go to the Little Falls show last weekend.  They are 100% alpaca and are felted —  so soft and warm.  Two pair sold there!  Guess I’ll be making more!

New hat anyone?

I just finished this.

And it can be yours!  $25.   This one is up for grabs!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I hope you have good weather and safe travels!

Hat finished!

I finished this hat for a customer.

I used my sportweight 100% alpaca yarn, held double.

It’s ready to be picked up, wrapped up and put under the tree!

I also added some of my new yarn that was spun at Rach-Al-Paca to the shopping page.  Check it out!

Sportweight by Vagabond

This yarn is from Vagabond.  Find it for sale here.  Wouldn’t these 2 make a wonderful hat like the one above!

Accomplishments on retreat

First – I knit these 2 pair of mittens.

Mittens for charity

Mittens for charity

They will be finished by another gal in my knitting group.  I have a total of 7 pair to turn over to her tomorrow at our monthly meeting.

Last weekend was my spinning guild’s retreat at the Linden Hills mansion.  I spun and knit and ate and relaxed.  It was awesome.  I spun this huge skein from the fiber of Ruby.

Hand spun alpaca yarn

Hand spun alpaca yarnThis set was started before the retreat, but I finished the scarf and got the hat to the point of steaming. Brown set of alpaca yarn

After steaming, the hat will get ear flaps added.  The mittens need to be felted yet.

While on the retreat, I seamed the wristwarmers and mittens, knit the scarf and started the hat.   The hat will be blue with brown stripes.

Blue set of alpaca yarn

The hat will be an ear flap hat.  These mittens will also be felted.  These 2 sets are part of a custom order.

Here’s my newest addition to my Etsy store.
